The opportunities reach far beyond training at any back street club. You can progress through the grades and participate in many national and world events meet and train with some of the world best known TV & Film celebrities, martial arts world champions and expert martial artists.

BEGINNERS TRAINING
Our club instructors can provide beginners programmes in many martial arts and supplement your training with beginners workshops, seminars, courses and place you on the international student accreditations scheme we call I.S.A.S.

BLACK BELT TRAINING
Many clubs throughout the UK are part of our national training programme. Access to national and international qualifications and courses in coaching, first aid, instructing, Child Protection, Body Guard Training, Health & Safety, Control & Restraint, Weapons, self Defence, Stuntman, Fight Choreography and other specialist areas.

I.S.A.S.
This excellent scheme allows the club members to vote and select student of the year and attend a special awards ceremony.

SHARING KNOWLEDGE
Many events see instructors from many different martial arts and disciplines working together and helping each other develop. The core principles of all martial arts relate to honour, discipline and self control.

CLUB GRADING
Grades are a fundamental part of martial arts and many aspire to the black belt. Club instructors can undertake their own grading at 3rd Dan level and register and ratify their grades with other organisations, this of course can affect the cost of the grading. Grades of course relate to knowledge of a syllabus not how good you are at fighting.

Fighting is and must always be secondry to all martial arts technical skill. Many clubs and schools aim there classes around competition training and staminar work we believe technical knowledge of a style is paramount.

INTERNATIONAL GRADING
These events are made up of a black belt grading panel who concur on your performance. The participant is scenario tested to see how they apply their knowledge from their syllabus. Usually an international grading is for brown belts and above.

NEW KNOWLEDGE
The A.K.K.A recognises that no one ever stops learning and no one know everything. The events are geared around the worlds top martial arts instructors, champions and celebrities to work together sharing knowledge and raising the profile of martial arts.

MARTIAL ARTS WORKSHOPS
Our student members can attend these specialised workshops to get them kick started in martial arts or our higher graded students and instructors can develop specific skills in the area they choose

COMPETITIONS
Our competitions span through many different sections formats and categories. Good rules are important so all competitors are protected through lower and high grades sections Martial arts is a hobby and our competitions use the S Factor Rules which allow the participants to maximise skill and minimise contact. In the S Factor you can compete in Judo, Karate, Kumite, Semi Contact, Light Continuous, MMA, Open Combat, Freestyle, Taekwondo, Patterns, Kickboxing, Wushu, Kung Fu, Push Hands, Freestyle Musical Forms, Team Forms, Musical Weapons and Traditional Weapons. There are many separate categories for men, women, boys, girls and veterans this means that many medals can be won. The main aim of the competition is to have fun and the rules inspire the participants to give their best performance.

INSTRUCTORS AWARD SCHEME
Instructors can also be nominated by students for various awards these are decided by our awards committee and instructors are notified and invited to the awards ceremony.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT AWARD SCHEME
Students may contribute to their clubs in ways not rewarded by grade and the ISAS is a way to show thanks and appreciation, this can come from other fellow students or instructors who want to nominate an individual.

INTERNATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMME I.T.P
World recognised martial arts grades and accreditation are achieved by the A.K.K.A networking with our other affiliations to national and international organisations who have specialised expertise. These organisations meet national standards in the UK and can provide evidence by way of certification to the individuals who meet the international standard or benchmark when they complete the examination or assessment.

The I.T.P has various methods of inclusion so discounts can be given by your club instructor.The courses are very affordable and with your instructors discounts you will find large savings that will put more courses in reach.

DO YOU LIKE AUTHORITY
Our competition umpires have responsibilities and authority. If you are into competition and don't really like taking part as a competitor but are interested in becoming a qualified competition official the Umpires Qualification is for you. You will learn refereeing, time keeping, score keeping, judging and how to use electronic equipment. We have Umpires Courses in all of the different martial arts formats including: Judo, Karate, Kumite, Patterns, Kata, Forms, Wushu, TKD, MMA, Push Hands, Tai Chi, Kickboxing, Semi Contact, Light Continuous, Creative Forms, Freestyles and Traditional Formats. All refereeing or officiating is qualified under the Umpires Qualifications.
